Meet Philippe Monfiston, a multilingual father, husband, and emerging author with a passion for storytelling. As a Haitian-American, Philippe’s background in Classics and international affairs shapes his diverse literary interests. With over a decade of experience in global health, Philippe’s upcoming debut novel, “Fibo’s Child,” draws inspiration from his 2011 visit to Haiti and his love for his cultural heritage.

Through this tale, Philippe aims to reshape perceptions of Haiti, highlighting its resilience and potential beyond the headlines of tragedy and turmoil.
In addition to children’s literature, Philippe explores non-fiction topics such as Scrabble, palindromes, and Greek-and-Latin-inspired prayer guides. Based in southern Maryland, Philippe’s international adventures are currently limited to dinner dates, but his literary journeys know no bounds.
